Lou Thesz vs. Jim PowersReferee: James Beard Powers came out fast and surprised Thesz with a flurry, knocking him out of the ring. Thesz was not happy by this turn of events and returned to the ring with a chip on his shoulder. Thesz gained the advantage and took his time in punishing Powers before putting him away with a GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP.(Postmatch: Thesz is standing over the defeated Powers when he is attacked from behind by George Hackenschmidt. Hack quickly locked Thesz in a RUSSIAN BEARHUG when Ed ‘Strangler’ Lewis ran out of the locker room followed by Alexis Smirnoff. A wild brawl erupts involving all four men and it takes the entire security force to regain order.) (COMMERCIAL) (Lance Russell interviews Lou Thesz and Ed ‘Strangler’ Lewis, who very heatedly infer that George Hackenschmidt is a coward. Leilani Kai w/Jimmy Hart vs. Jazz w/ Teddy LongReferee: Dick Woehrle This match turned into an all about brawl after a back and forth battle outside the ring, where both women exchanged suplexes on the concrete floor. Jazz had Kai reeling and Hart decided to get involved, trying to smash Jazz with the megaphone, but he nailed Kai instead. Jazz immediately locked in an STF, but Kai somehow made her way to the ropes. The battle continued as both women became fatigued. Hart was finally able to get the megaphone to Kai, who clocked Jazz with it. Kai covered Jazz, but Long distracted the ref. Hart and Long got into an argument at ringside and Woehrle had had enough and threw the match out, declaring it a no contest.(COMMERCIAL) (Gordon Solie interviews the bWo, who complain about continuing to not get any respect even when it’s obvious they are the most talented trio in LOW. They tell Solie how they will prove it by going out and beating their opponents tonight.) bWo (Stevie Richards, Blue Meanie & Super Nova) vs. Konnan, Juventud Guerrera & Super CrazyReferee: Morgan Dollar Both teams battled before the match broke down and all six men brawled outside the ring. Richards and Crazy were the legal men and Dollar counted both men out.(COMMERCIAL) (Russell welcomes everyone back and explains what led up to tonight’s main event. Solie adds that there seems to be some real bad blood between the two teams and he isn’t sure if this one match will settle it.) Lou Thesz & Ed ‘Strangler’ Lewis vs. George Hackenscmidt & Alexis SmirnoffReferee: James Beard The match progressed evenly until Thesz and Hackenschmidt were in the ring together. Both men tore into one another brutally. The action continued back and forth until Thesz pinned Hackenschmidt with a THESZ PRESS.(Russell talks about how grueling the match was, as did Solie, who commented on what great athletes all four men are. Russell wrapped up the show and invited fans to tune in next time.) PRIMEHosted by Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan (Monsoon welcomes everyone to the broadcast and introduces Heenan as his co-host. Heenan interrupts and says he’s the host. Rock N Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) vs. James Gang (Kip & BG James)Referee: Morgan Dollar The James Gang had full control of this match, but it got away from them when the action spilled out of the ring. Kip grabbed a chair and despite Dollar’s warnings smashed it over the back of Morton, leaving Dollar no choice but to call for the disqualification.(COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes fans back and talks about how former champ Jackie Fargo is attempting to get back into title contention, but has a big test on the program as he faces Bob Backlund. Heenan calls Backlund Howdy Doody and doesn’t see how Fargo will have any problem beating his opponent tonight.) Jackie Fargo vs. Bob BacklundReferee: Joey Marella Fargo looked to gain the early advantage by brutalizing Backlund outside the ring. The match progressed with Fargo getting more and more violent, but Backlund was able to fend him off. The action spilled out of the ring once again, where Fargo found a metal pipe and smashed Backlund with it. Marella saw what transpired and disqualified Fargo.(COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon sends it Lance Russell, who is standing by with a special guest. Lance Russell introduces World Heavyweight Champion Jack Brisco and they discuss how Brisco welcomes all challengers. ‘Nature Boy’ Buddy Rogers comes out and trades barbs with the champ. (COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes fans back to the show and talks about how both Rockin’ Robin and Fabulous Moolah have their sights strongly set on challenging World Women’s Champion Mildred Burke for her title. He explains how we will join their match already in progress.) Rockin’ Robin vs. Fabulous MoolahReferee: Dick Woehrle Both women were brawling outside the ring as the match is joined. The action returned to the ring and both women continued to battle. Moolah eventually gained the advantage and pinned Robin with a JACKKNIFE CRADLE.(COMMERCIAL) Danny Hodge vs. Johnny SaintReferee: Morgan Dollar This match was a classic. Saint dominated most of the early going, trying to wear Hodge down with multiple holds. Hodge survived and capitalized on his strength advantage, gaining a couple of near falls. Saint made a comeback and after things got a little chippy outside the ring was able to gain the submission with the THREE-IN-ONE.(Monsoon comments on what an outstanding match it was while Heenan seems to be preoccupied with something else. When Monsoon questions him, Heenan says there’s a fly in the studio. Monsoon says he doesn’t see a fly. Heenan retorts with Monsoon needing glasses before Monsoon sends it to their colleague Gordon Solie, who is standing by to tell us about where Legends of Wrestling will be next. Gordon Solie thanks Monsoon then tells fans their next two television tapings at Midson Square Garden and The Spectrum in Philadelphia are both sold out, but tickets are still available for the non-televised live shows in Washington, D.C. and Richmond, VA.) (COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes the fans back and talks about how excited he is for the next television taping at the mecca, Madison Square Garden. Heenan responds by explaining how much history there is at Madison Square Garden before slapping the table, narrowly missing “the fly”. Monsoon seemingly irritated with Heenan comments on the world famous Road Warriors being featured in the next match and making their first appearance in Legends of Wrestling. Heenan comments on how Hawk and Animal have won titles all over the world and now they want to add the LOW World Tag Team Titles to their collection. Monsoon says they will have their work cut out for them in this match against the father-son tandem of Curt & Larry ‘The Axe’ Hennig) Curt & Larry 'The Axe' Hennig vs. Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)Referee: James Beard This match was brutal. The Hennigs looked to be up to the task as the Road Warriors isolated Curt early on and beat the crap out of him. Curt absorbed every bit of punishment before making it to his corner for the tag. Larry came in and matched power with the Roadies. The action continued back and forth, inside and outside the ring, with both teams executing multiple tags. Unfortunately for the Hennigs, all the high impact moves began to take their toll. The Roadies were able to get the victory when Animal pinned Curt following the DOOMSDAY DEVICE.(Monsoon talks about how the Road Warriors are going to be a force to be reckoned with in Legends of Wrestling then announces that the main event is coming up next.) (COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes the fans back and talks about the accolades of the men involved in the show’s main event. Heenan is still trying to kill the fly, but mentions how he knows what kind of talent Harley Race is and says to never bet against him.) Ed ‘Strangler’ Lewis vs. Harley RaceReferee: Joey Marella Both men spent several minutes exchanging moves before Race seemed to take over, hitting big move after big move. Lewis was able to stage a bit of a comeback, but Race stayed the course and put Lewis away with a PILEDRIVER.(Monsoon commented on Race’s deliberate pace and precision execution of high impact moves as reasons he was victorious. Heenan slaps the table again, rejoicing in finally killing the fly then notices a second fly flying around his head. Monsoon calls Heenan ridiculous before inviting fans to tune in next time.

Solie comments on the last match being one of the wildest he’s seen in some time. Russell announces that they have just finished setting up the cage and it is time for the main event. Russell announces that the cage is meant to prevent outside interference and that the only way to win is to escape the cage by either going through the door or out over the top and both feet have to touch the floor.) CAGE MATCH Stevie Richards w/Blue Meanie & Super Nova) vs. John PesekReferees: Joey Marella & Dick Woehrle Richards had an early advantage, but Pesek quickly turned the tables. Pesek systematically wore Richards down and made multiple attempts to leave the cage. The first attempt was through the door, but Richards was able to prevent that from happening. All of the subsequent attempts were over the top of the cage and although Richards was able to prevent Pesek from climbing out on the first few attempts, Pesek finally put a blood Richards down with a violent clothesline and was able to scale the cage. Heenan calls Race the king of wrestling and says that he feels like Race doesn’t get the respect he deserves. Monsoon actually agrees and says opponents of Race definitely should take him for granted. Monsoon then announces the main event for the show will see World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Ric McCord defend against Johnny Saint. Heenan talks about Saint winning the title and taking it back across the pond to present it to the queen. Monsoon wishes Saint luck with that since McCord is a very talented wrestler in his own right then says it’s time for the first match of the show.) Butcher & Mad Dog Vachon w/ Capt. Lou Albano vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers)Referee: Morgan Dollar Before he starts the match, Dollar informs Albano he is concerned about his outside interference and sends him away from ringside. Albano protests, but follows Dollar’s instructions and the match begins. The Vachons were angered by Dollar’s actions and took their frustrations out on their opponents. Fulton and Rogers endured and Rogers got the pin after he surprised Butcher with a series of dropkicks.(Heenan complained about Dollar’s action, saying that the Vachons and Albano have a binding contract for Albano to be at ringside for all their matches. Heenan says maybe he’ll refer Albano to his attorneys Dewey, Cheatem and Howe. Monsoon says that’d be perfect and then they could get Albano in as much trouble as they’ve gotten Heenan in. Heenan questions Monsoon what he’s talking about, but Monsoon ignores him and goes to break.) (COMMERCIAL) Leilani Kai w/Jimmy Hart vs. Ida Mae MartinezReferee: James Beard Kai dominated the match and easily put Martinez away with a RUNNING SPLASH.(COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes the fans back to the program and talks about how the Road Warriors had a strong debut against the father-son tandem of Larry and Curt Hennig not too long ago and they will face more strong competition in the Rock N Roll Express. (COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes the fans back and shows video from the recent attack by Juventud Guerrera on ‘Mr. Electricity’ Steve Regal. Heenan said he has it of good authority that Regal made some very disparaging remarks about Guerrera’s mother back in Mexico and that is what warranted the attack. Monsoon questioned Heenan as to his sources and Heenan says those are confidential. Monsoon announced that Mike Graham will be joining The Fabulous Ones in an attempt to gain some retribution for Regal, who will be out of action for a little while.) Mike Graham & The Fabulous Ones (Stan Lane & Steve Keirn) vs. Konnan, Juventud Guerrera & Super CrazyReferee: Dick Woehrle The action was fast and furious in this one. Monsoon scoffs at this remark and sends it to the ring.) Bob Backlund vs. Harley RaceReferee: Morgan Dollar Backlund seemed to be a little quicker than Race and used that to his advantage. Both men battled through out, but Race seemed to excel when the action spilled out of the ring. Race’s rough house tactics outside the ring frustrated Backlund and he slammed Race through a ringside table resulting in Dollar calling for the disqualification.(Lance Russell calls Backlund to the interview area. Russell asks about the match with Race and Backlund complains about being disqualified for fighting fire with fire. Russell contends that everything Race did was within the rules and Backlund contend the ref warned him multiple times to get the action back in the ring and he refused. Monsoon tells Heenan will you please stop then says let’s send it to our ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta.) WORLD JR. Mike DiBiase comes out and Solie introduces him to the fans. DiBiase tells Graham that maybe he should worry more about himself than his friends and focus on their match coming up, because DiBiase says he wants some quality competition in his LOW debut.) Mike Graham vs. ‘Iron’ Mike DiBiaseReferee: Joey Marella DiBiase obviously meant what he said because after Graham started out with the advantage, DiBiase quickly gained the advantage and after one near fall put Graham away with a TOP ROPE KNEE TO THE BACK.(Russell comments on DiBiase’s spectacular debut and urges fans to keep an eye on him because he could shoot to the top of the jr. heavyweight division very quickly.) (COMMERCIAL) (Russell welcomes the fans back to the program and announces it’s time for the main event. Solie comments on how tough both of the teams are and to get ready for a hard hitting affair.) Saint leaves the ring with a smirk as medical staff tends to Candido, ultimately stretchering him from the ring. (COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes the fans back to the show and Heenan is finally off the phone. Monsoon comments Heenan is ready just in time for a match that features Harley Race. Heenan comments on how Race was robbed of the World Heavyweight Title by that snake in the grass Jackie Fargo. Monsoon informs fans Heenan is referring to a recent title match that was shown on the program and that Fargo attempted to cost both men the match. Heenan questions what that’s about and how stupid Fargo is, saying a man with no friends has all enemies … or is it a man with all friends has all enemies … or is it a man with friends and enemies, no wait … Monsoon cuts him off and sends it to the match.) Harley Race vs. David TaylorReferee: James Beard This match was a little more competitive than I think anyone thought it would be. Race was extremely aggressive, but Taylor stood up to it and controlled a lot of the match. The match ended up going back and forth with a lot of the action taking place outside of the ring. Beard gave both men quite a bit of leeway as both men made use of a steel chair at ringside. After a double clothesline in the center of the ring that floored both men, Race recovered and delivered a vicious PILEDRIVER for the victory.(Monsoon comments on how aggressive Race was during the match and Heenan comments on how pissed off Race is. Brisco then appears and Russell pleads that they don’t need any trouble. Brisco says there won’t be any, then tells Fargo that if he wants a shot, he’ll get one and then Brisco will hopefully shut Fargo up once and for all.) (COMMERCIAL) The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. PG-13 (JC Ice & Wolfie D)Referee: Joey Marella Both teams battled back and forth until The Fantastics gained a quick advantage allowing Rogers to pin Wolfie after the ROCKET LAUNCHER.Post match: PG-13 attacks The Fantastics from behind and a wild brawl erupts. Officials and security take quite a while, but are finally able to restore order. (Monsoon comments on the poor sportsmanship by PG-13 while Heenan criticizes the officiating because Marella missed the handful of tights Rogers had. Monsoon asked Heenan if they were watching the same match and told him that he is a fountain of misinformation. Monsoon segues by saying make sure to join us when LOW comes to a town near you. Here’s Gordon Solie with where and when. Solie thanks Monsoon then talks about how the live shows in Dothan, AL and Knoxville, TN are both sold out, but there are still some good seats available for the TV taping in Lexington, KY and the live shows in Buffalo and Cleveland.) (COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes the fans back to the program and talks about newcomer Cheerleader Melissa. Heenan questions what a cheerleader is doing inside a wrestling ring, shouldn’t she stay outside the ring to cheer on the real wrestlers. Monsoon responds by telling Heenan to please stop. Monsoon adds that Melissa will face stiff competition in the veteran Leilani Kai and have to be aware of that snake in the grass at ringside, Jimmy Hart.) Leilani Kai w/ Jimmy Hart vs. Cheerleader MelissaReferee: Dick Woehrle Melissa held her own against the wily veteran, but Kai’s experience won out in this one. Kai pinned Melissa with a RUNNING SPLASH.(COMMERCIAL) ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase & Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams vs. Bruiser Brody & Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)Referee: Bryce Remsburg This was a brutal match, as one would expect. Both teams executed high impact moves throughout while executing multiple tags to keep members fresh. Both teams gained multiple near falls, but it was a quick hard spinning body slam by Duggan that allowed him to pin Brody. (Lance Russell is in the interview area with World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express and Jim Cornette. Russell questions Cornette about the challenge from the Road Warriors regarding a scaffold title match and tells him that the LOW Board of Directors are just waiting for him to accept to sign the match. Cornette says the challenge is preposterous and there is no way he will agree to something like that on behalf of his team. Suddenly Hawk and Animal lay out Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condry from behind with chairs. Cornette cowers as Hawk and Animal corner him and each grab him by the lapel. They tell him he has two choices – the hard way or the easy way, but Cornette will agree to the match. Cornette can be seen with a visible wet spot on in the crotch of his trousers as he finally relents and says fine, you can have your match. Hawk and Animal leave Cornette in a heap as Russell ponders how pleased Eaton and Condrey are going to be when they regain consciousness.) (COMMERCIAL) (Monsoon welcomes the fans back and Heenan cuts him off asking what is wrong with people. He says the Road Warriors come out and manhandle Jim Cornette and intimidate him into giving in to what they want. He says the LOW Board of Directors shouldn’t award the match and suspend Hawk and Animal indefinitely. Monsoon tells Heenan he should take it up with the board because that match is signed for the LOW PRIME. Heenan immediately picks up the phone and attempts to get through to the board of directors while Monsoon announces it’s time for the main event.) Frank Gotch vs. Lou TheszReferee: James Beard Gotch came out quick, but Thesz countered. Thesz quickly got Gotch in a compromising position and pinned him with a THESZ PRESS.(Monsoon comments on Thesz’s in ring ability and questions how long it will be before Thesz is competing for the World Heavyweight Title. Monsoon asks Heenan, who is still on the phone, if he has an opinion on the subject and Heenan holds up a finger to say one minute. Monsoon rolls his eyes then thanks the fans for tuning in and invites them to tune in again next time)
