Big Daddy K: Welcome, my friends, to my own personal Wrestling Roadshow. The wrestlers you have come here to see have been hand-picked by me for your viewing pleasure. We have a little bit of everything, wrestlers from all over the world and maybe the universe, and as many of these competitors will tell you anything can happen on the road. Fans of my Wrestling Roadshow should come to expect the unexpected because it is most likely to happen. Now on to the show.
With this being our debut I wanted to start things out with a BANG!, so I went out and found the perfect wrestler to that. As a matter of face I think I deserve a self-high-five … or at least a pat on the back.
Diamond Dallas Page vs. Cedric The HitmanCedric seemed to be all business and DDP was his usual flamboyant self. DDP may’ve underestimated Cedric as DDP had his hands full. Cedric kept the pressure on and finally put DDP down with the HAIR TRIGGER.BDK: Right out of the gate and we have an upset. I told you to expect the unexpected. With that victory Cedric The Hitman has qualified for the tournament to crown my first heavyweight champion.
We’ll switch gears now to the tag team division, with a chance to qualify for the tag team title tournament on the line. I’ve brought in one of the best tag teams in pro wrestling history to compete for this honor. These two men are a real hit with the ladies, so guys watch out as they come to the ring.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) vs. Holiday Men (Hallowicked & UltraMantis Santa)This match was fast paced as RnR came out of the gates quickly. The Holiday Men kept pace, but quick tags by Morton and Gibson kept their opponents off balance. Morton ultimately pinned UltraMantis with a CROSS BODY BLOCK.BDK: The Rock ‘n’ Rolls have just expressed their way into the tag team title tournament, but I have to say I really like those Holiday Men. They’re quite festive.
We’ve had a look at the dudes, so now let’s check out the ladies of the Roadshow. Once again when you want to crown a champion that you can be proud of, you want to bring in the best talent you can find and that’s what I’ve done. One of the ladies in our next contest has definitely done it all in the business. She’s won titles, she’s managed champions, she’s even been deemed royalty. Tonight she will face an up and comer who is more than ready to prove she’s just as competent as her wily, veteran opponent.
‘Sensational’ Sherri Martel vs. Alexa Bliss
Bliss came out quickly and had Martel reeling, even gaining a near fall. Martel weathered the storm, coaxing Bliss to miss a turnbuckle charge and gained a near fall of her own. The action spilled out of the ring where it became a pier 6 brawl and both women were disqualified for failing to heed the referee’s warnings.
BDK: I think this just proves my theory … bitches be crazy. Regardless, they definitely came to fight, but unfortunately they’ve fought their way out of the women’s title tournament.
Next up are a couple of solid competitors. Neither have a lot of flash, but both can bring it in the ring. Don’t sleep on these two, and you better not take a piss either. Wait until the intermission after the match.
Arik Cannon vs. Stevie RichardsRichards tried to gain an early advantage, but Cannon countered a powerbomb and went on an extended offensive. It wasn’t until the action spilled out of the ring that Richards was able to recover, but the respite was short lived. Richards managed another comeback, which was again short lived, but the match settled into a fairly even back and forth contest. Both men managed to pick up a couple of near falls before Richards put Cannon away with a well placed STEVIE KICK.(During the intermission Diamond Dallas Page, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson signed autographs and took photos with the fans.)
BDK: I hope everyone enjoyed the little break, got something to eat and everything came out for you ok at the facilities. I know what that beer can do to a soul.
Speaking of soul, our next two competitors have a whole lot of it. As a matter of fact, these two men are pretty good friends, but in my experience good friends make even better rivals. Hopefully they don’t take it personally, but one of them has to win and one of them has to lose and to the victor go the spoils.
Willie Mack vs. Junkyard DogJYD had the early advantage, but Mack knocked JYD to the mat as JYD attempted a high risk move from the turnbuckle. Now it was Mack’s turn to go on the offensive. JYD made a comeback and Mack couldn’t get any momentum after that, falling victim to the BIG THUMP.BDK: What goes up, must come down and we witnessed that a couple times in that last encounter. I’m happy to see there are no hard feelings because honestly, what’s a little tussle between friends?
Who here likes video games? I know I do, so for our next match it’s back to our tag team division and a video game come to life, at least for one of our teams, but they will have their work cut out for them as they face off with a couple of Skyscrapers.
Super Smash Bros. (Player Uno & Player Dos) vs. Skyscrapers (Sid Vicious & Dan Spivey) w/Teddy LongAfter some brief hard hitting action Spivey pinned Uno after a POWER BOMB.BDK: I’m guessing that wasn’t what the Super Smash Brothers were expecting. It was game over pretty quickly for them and now the Skyscrapers are the second team to qualify for the tag team title tournament.
It’s back to the women and if our first women’s contest was any indication, this one could be wild.
Malia Hosaka vs. Jessicka HavokHosaka managed to stay one step ahead of Havok for most of the match, but eventually the powerhouse Havok caught up to her foe and destroyed her with not one, but two HAVOKILLERS to get the victory.BDK: She’s called Havok for a reason folks and now Malia Hosaka knows why. We could get a few Hosaka trees growing in the ring because Havok just planted her.
It’s now time for our main event of the evening. These two men are two of the finest middle weights in all the world. The winner of this match will be our second qualifier for the middle weight title, so with so much on the line this should prove to be worthy of being the first main event on the first ever Wrestling Roadshow.
Dynamite Kid vs. Rickson GracieGracie came right at Dynamite, but Dynamite countered by tossing Gracie from the ring. Dynamite seemed to be toying with Gracie in the opening minutes of the match, but Gracie proved he was all business and should be taken seriously as he slammed Dynamite through a ringside table. The action continued back and forth, but Dynamite eventually gained the advantage and after getting a near fall with a hooking clothesline, put Gracie away with a DIVING HEAD BUTT.BDK: Congratulations to Dynamite Kid and to all of the wrestlers appearing on the very first Wrestling Roadshow.
Well fans it’s been real and it’s been fun … dare I say it’s been real fun? I hope you enjoyed the show and catch us again on down the road. Good night.
