MIDNIGHT SUN WRESTLING CARD 1 FROM THE ALASKAN TUNDRA IN STORIED NOME, ALASKA 1. Buddy Rose def Bill Dundee with the Bomb Away. Interference by Steve Corino and the Valiants make this an easy win. Afterwards, Rose introduces the "newer... BLONDER Army!!" The crowd seems oddly supportive of the rule breaking quartet. 2. The Valiants (W/ General Buddy Rose) def the Texas Hangmen by CO. Rose blindsides Psycho with a chair shot to ensure he remains down for the count (out). 3. Dutch Savage and Blackjack Mulligan battle to a double CO. The fans seem electrified by these 2 big men battling all the way back through the crowd to the dressing room. Chants of "Bring them back!!" resound for several minutes after the bell rings and the decision is announced. 4. John Pesek def Colt Cabana with the Double Wristlock. A relatively one-sided affair, as Pesek seemed very unimpressed with the charismatic and high flying Cabana, beating him down quickly and decisively for the win. The crowd seemed unsure what to make of the quick match, though a rather vocal group of ringsiders were definitely in the Nebraskan's corner. 5. The Vachons and Angelo Mosca def The Armstrongs and Bob Roop with a Mosca Heart Punch on Brad. Great back and forth action as the strength and brawling of the local heroes, Vachons and Mosca, clashed with the speed and technical ability of the Armstrongs and Roop, who seemed overly distracted and confused by being placed in the role of the villains for the night. The end came when the Vachons kept the Bobs busy at ringside and Mosca leveled Brad with a loaded forearm to set up the Heart Punch. 6. Bruiser Brody def Roddy Piper with a Knee Drop. Great back and forth brawling between these 2 obvious favorites of the crowd. The harder they fought, the more the crowd responded... And these 2 were glad to give the unruly crowd every possible reason to cheer. A combined total of 11 PIN tokens kept the Nome crowd (Nomish?) on their feet til finally back in the ring, Brody fond his mark with a big boot followed by a leaping knee drop for the win. Strangler Evan Lewis came down to ringside after the match and spoke quietly with Brody, who just nodded once and departed. Lewis helped Piper to his feet and spoke quietly with him as well. Piper simply stared down the Strangler and walked back towards the dressing room with continual glances back at Lewis in the ring.

MIDNIGHT SUN WRESTLING CARD 2 FROM THE ALASKAN TUNDRA IN STORIED NOME, ALASKA 1. Buddy Rose def Bill Dundee via DQ. Dundee came out with his own back up in the form of Bob Roop to counteract the presence of Steve Corino, but midway through the match the numbers game swung back to Rose when the Valiants joined him at ringside also. Late in the match (after Dundee had been double teamed outside the ring by the Valiants for the 3rd time) as Rose went to the top rope for the Bombs Away, the crowd was disturbed by the arrival of PG-13, who laid out the Valiants with their hubcaps and then turned their attention to shoving Rose off the top rope, garnering the DQ for Dundee. Security quickly got control reestablished and Dundee, Roop and PG-13 celebrated in the ring to a less than warm reception from the frosty crowd. An 8-man elimination tag team match was announced for the following week. 2. John Pesek def Steve Corino with the Double Wristlock. Even the interference of General Buddy Rose couldn't derail the Nebraskan Steam Train. Pesek seemed as unimpressed as the week prior as he continually thwarted Corino's attempts at anything. A few minutes, and a large right hand for the General, was all that was needed to dispatch victim number two. It sounded as though the Nebraskan's fan club was growing, though a large portion of the crowd still seemed a bit unsure of the brevity of the match. 3. The Valiants and PG-13 battled to a double DQ. After the fracas between these 4 men earlier in the night, the Nomish crowd seemed antsy for violence and were not disappointed. The match itself ran slightly less than 5 minutes, the bloody brawl through the crowd and concessions area lasted nearly 20 and the crowd was still screaming for more long after security got the 4 combatants separated and returned to their respective dressing rooms. 4. Dutch Savage def Blackjack Mulligan via DQ. Another brutal matchup between these 2 big men and the fans were eating it up. Mulligan and Savage were both warned repeatedly about their tactics but it was the chair shot by Mulligan outside the ring to Savage's brain housing unit that seemed to push the beleaguered ref past his limits, garnering the DQ. Savage swore his revenge as the ringside EMT's attended his bloody head. 5. Maddog Vachon def Brad Armstrong with the Piledriver. The young Armstrong had requested this follow up match after last weeks defeat in 6-man action. Unfortunately, Vachon was a bit too sneaky and rugged for Brad to handle. After a strong early push, Armstrong fell prey to the underhanded tactics of one of the best in the biz at being bad and found himself shoulders down for a 3. Dear old dad, Bob, saved his son from a 2 on 1 beatdown after the match by chasing Maddog and brother Butcher off with a chair before they could lay into the downed Brad. 6. Evan Lewis (accompanied by Bruiser Brody) def Yukon Eric via referee stoppage. The popular lumberjack used his great strength to his early advantage until a short trip outside the ring proved disadvantageous as Lewis distracted the referee while Brody laid in the furry boots. A much weakened Eric fought back valiantly, but 2 more trips out of the ring had him on the ropes. Finally Brody delivered a wicked Piledriver to Eric on the floor and walked away as the referee came out and signaled that the match was over. A certain kilted Scotsman could be seen watching from the ramp way and walked away after the decision was announced. 7. The Terrible Turk def Colt Cabana with the Stranglehold. The fun loving high flyer again came up short as the debuting Turkish Madman quickly grounded and choked out the popular grappler. The Turk (via his translator) informed the Nomite crowd that he was here for the Gold... And Evan Lewis...

Thus far the dice seem to have been enjoying a bit more of a hardcore edge here, lol... Actually been trying to track down some of my older "ECW-esque" charts for just that reason.

MIDNIGHT SUN WRESTLING CARD 3 FROM THE ALASKAN TUNDRA IN STORIED NOME, ALASKA 1. Blackjack Mulligan def Colt Cabana via DQ. The burly Texan was well in control of the popular grappler, grounding his game from the get go. Cabana attempted several comebacks, but it seemed Blackjack was just toying with hime, even pulling him up from the pin on several occasions. Finally after about 7 minutes, the crowd erupted as Dutch Savage came flying down from the back and went straight for Blackjack. The 2 big men swapped some pretty heavy leather all the way to the back. The referee seemed almost glad to call for the bell and be doe with this one. Cabana seemed a bit frustrated with both the outcome of the match and the ass kicking. 2. Yukon Eric def Bruiser Brody by DQ. Eric had asked for this match after last weeks interference and beatdown, Brody was glad to oblige. These 2 went right at each other from the opening bell. And whilst the referee seemed willing to give a lot of leeway to the giants, he was eventually unable to turn a blind eye to the chain of Brody being interjected into the match. After the bell rang, Evan Lewis joined Brody for a 2 on 1 beatdown of the popular lumberjack, until the Nebraskan Steam Train pulled into the station with a chair and ran the 2 muggers off from the scene of the crime. 3. John Pesek def Angelo Mosca with a lateral press keylock. Big Nasty came out in a bad mood and looking for a fight. He left in a worse mood, having found one he couldn't win. The somewhat jaded Nominian crowd was shocked almost silent as the big man got his ever-loving butt handed to him, wrapped up in pretty paper and a bow. It took Pesek about 1 minute to gain control and another 3 to shut down Mosca. And the frozen tundra crowd continues to warm to quiet yet effective Nebraskan. 4. The Vachons and the Armstrongs battle to a 20 minute TLD. The scientific high flying of the father-son duo was enough to counter and keep at bay the roughhousing power of the brothers. Actually a really solid back and forth contrast of styles that saw the Armstrongs in pretty solid control in the waning moments of the match. Both teams had to be escorted to the back amidst chants of "let them go" and "5 more minutes" from the rowdy crowd. 5. Rowdy Roddy Piper def Fritz Von Goering with the Sleeper. This fight didn't disappoint the bloodthirsty reprobates of the Nome-lander crowd. Several trips out of the ring left both men bloodied and weakened, but they just kept going, culminating in a missed turnbuckle charge which allowed Piper to hook in the Sleeper for the win. After the match, Lewis and Brody headed down to the ring, but the Rowdy Scot exited through the crowd. 6. In the Main Event, The Army def Bill Dundee, Bob Roop and PG-13. The action here was solid and packed from start to finish. PG-13 and the Valiants went quickly to the outside and just like that, the match size was cut in 1/2 as the referee sent all 4 men to the back. Corino would fall prey to a Bombs Away by Dundee to make this match 2 on 1, though a spent Rose would eke out an Inside Backbreaker on Roop to even it back up. Rose looked completely exhausted compared to a relatively fresh Dundee, when the crowd let out a collective gasp as a HUGE blonde man strolled down to ringside and stepped onto the ring apron. Dundee looked up (and up and up) at the Giant outside the ring and seemed at a loss as to the correct course of action. The good General took advantage of Dundee's distraction to land a knee in the back and get the quick pin. The large man grabbed Dundee by the head after the match and dragged him to the back. Rose could be heard commenting something about "now THAT's an interrogator!"

MIDNIGHT SUN WRESTLING CARD 4 FROM THE ALASKAN TUNDRA IN STORIED NOME, ALASKA 1. The American Wolves def The Texas Hangmen in their debut. Davey Richards landed the D.R. Driver on Psycho. The Wolves were a focused and cohesive unit, systematically dissecting their larger, masked opponents. After the match, the Eddie grabbed the mic and simply stated, "Told you we had your back, bro" and left the ring to the confusion of the fans. 2. Steve Corino (w/ General Rose) def Colt Cabana after Rose hooks his leg, causing him to stumble forward into the Old School Suplex. As Rose and Corino were joined by the Valiants and the large Blonde, Rose introduced the Blonde as "the Insurance Policy" Kurrgan, and asked him where Dundee was. Kurrgan simply smiled... 3. The Valiants def PG-13 with a Super Elbow to Wolfie D. PG-13 seemed a bit lost w/o their leader/dad and Nominian crowd gave them no quarter in jeering their loss and lackluster performance. Bob Roop made the save after the match with a chair, but it appeared only the voice of Buddy Rose kept the Insurance Policy from running in anyways. Colt Cabana came out and told the interviewer he was getting about sick of his treatment around here and if things didn't change soon, he would insure things changed himself! 4. (No DQ): Dutch Savage def Blackjack Mulligan following the interference of Bruiser Brody and a Running Piledriver. The fans were treated to an absolute slugfest of violence between these 2 behemoths. Back and forth smash mouth wrestling was the fare for todays brawl and the Nomish crowd ate it up! The unfortunate ending came when Mulligan had just sunk in the Claw and it appeared the Dutchman might be fading. All of a sudden Brody sprinted down the aisle and landed a big fuzzy boot to Mulligan's face. A brief double team by Savage and Brody ended with the piledriver and pin. Brody and Savage talked for a few seconds after an intense staredown and left the ring together. An Angry Mulligan (after finding his feet) charged to the back in pursuit of the 2. 5. John Pesek def Fritz Von Goering with the Double Wristlock. The big, cranky German was just another brief layover for the Nebraskan Steam Train. A brief initial flurry by Goering was quickly squashed and the Tigerman shut down the German's offense en route to another relatively easy win. After the match, he challenged Lewis "and his flunkies" to meet him and 2 partners here next week. 6. Bruiser Brody def Yukon Eric via DQ. Brody was in pretty solid control when Mulligan came charging down and attacked Brody. Eric grabbed Mulligan to ask "What the hell are you doing?!" and got slapped for his troubles. Pretty soon all 3 big men were brawling into the crowd as the referee practically screamed for security and other wrestlers to come help break this up!!

MIDNIGHT SUN WRESTLING CARD 5 FROM THE ALASKAN TUNDRA IN STORIED NOME, ALASKA 1. Colt Cabana def Brad Armstrong following a Colt .45. The real story here was the slightly more aggressive attitude shown by a newly bleached blonde Cabana. Though the match started with a handshake, Cabana used the outside ring environment to this advantage repeatedly before finally getting the win over a slightly flummoxed Brad. An offer hand from Colt after the match was far more slowly accepted than the one before. PG-13 and Bob Roop came out and let the Army know that if Dundee wasn't back here next week, there would be hell to pay... 2. Roop and PG-13 def Fritz Von Goering and the Texas Hangmen via DQ. A solid 6-man tag was ended poorly as the Army came down and attacked The Leaderless Trio. Initially it looked as though Goering and the Hangmen might take umbrage with the Army, then opted to join for an 8 on 3 beatdown until Roddy Piper, The Armstrongs, Yukon Eric and Mulligan ran down to chase off the dreaded heels. Mulligan and Eric still seemed to have some issue with one another, a point not lost on the Nometastic crowd who began chants of "Fight! Fight! Fight!" and other less kind chants. Piper(?!?!) seemed to be the voice of reason and kept things cool in the ring. John Pesek called out Evan Lewis "and his flunkies" to meet him and his partners, Lewis came on the video screen and could be seen in a fancy restaurant with Brody and a man sitting with his back to the camera. He informed Pesek he was not there this evening as it was difficult to land reservations to this particular establishment, but if he could beat a friend of his tonight, they could discuss a future meeting. 3. John Pesek def The Terrible Turk by DQ. As Pesek watched the video, seething, The Turk came from under the ring and attacked. Pesek weathered the storm and looked to be making a comeback when Lewis came blazing down to ringside and attacked!! The crowd seemed shocked after seeing him on the screen, and the "Nebraskan Train Station" (the John Pesek cheering section's self claimed name) was getting restless. Turk and Evans continued to lay down a beating for several minutes before security could get order restored. Pesek left the ring under his own power, but with a noticeable limp. 4. The Vachons def the American Wolves following a Spike Piledriver on Richards. The Wolves had effectively isolated the Butcher and had just landed an assisted DR Driver on him, but while the referee was escorting Eddie out, Maddog clobbered Richards with a chair. A near double count out ended with both men making hot tags. Maddog was a bit on the ropes, til Davey tagged back in. A bit of underhanded chicanery led to a Spike and that was all she wrote. The usually jaded crowd, gave both teams a standing ovation. 5. Roddy Piper def Steve Corino with the sleeper. Piper was clever and brought a LOT of backup (Mulligan, Eric, The Wolves, the Armstrongs, Roop and PG-13). And while the numbers game usually favors the Army, on this occasion the Hot Rod was able to outnumber and out gun them. During the ensuing out of the ring chaos, Piper was able to whip Corino's arse (literally, with his belt) and lock in the sleeper for a nap for Steve and a win for the Rowdy Scot.
