Hello everyone on IWTV, this is Larry Legend with massive news for all fans of professional wrestling of all its varied stripes! The International Wrestling Commission, or IWC, has contracted a whopping one hundred and twenty-eight of the best women wrestlers in the business for a single elimination tournament! We’re going to be crisscrossing the United States, venturing into Canada and Mexico, with a planned final destination in London, England to determine the single greatest women’s wrestler in the world today!
Our experts on staff have been feeding statistics on the participants win/loss records and physical stats to seed this tournament as objectively as possible. I’m sure several of the participants are not in agreement with their seeding, but with such a massive field the numbers might as well be a formality in many of these cases. Either way, each night on the tour will feature a quartet of tournament matches plus a trio of exciting exhibition matches featuring all kinds of talent, male and female, who either are natives to the region we’re holding the shows in or have achieved massive success there, matched up against rivals old and new.
It’s all beginning in Seattle, Washington with our first bracket. The Queen of Extreme, Francine, had the unfortunate luck to be matched against one of the odds-on favorites, the number one seeded Joanie Laurer. There will be a wealth of Joshi talent in this card, with Meiko Satomura battling deathmatch veteran Terra Callaway and Hiroyo Matsumoto battling yodeling wonder Ida Mae Martinez. But if you want to speak Joshi dream matches, look no further than our main event in Hikaru Shida versus Kairi Sane! In exhibition matches, we have Seattle native Darby Allin taking on Vampiro, an old enemy of his mentor Sting, and Su Yung will team with the Six Foot Stunner, Rebel Kel, to battle the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew, Lacey and Rain! And if that weren’t enough, in our semi-man event Bryan Danielson, the American Dragon himself, will battle Greg “The Hammer” Valentine!
It all goes down at 7 PM at the Key Arena! Tickets are available both on-line and at the box office! Doors open at 5:30, and make sure to arrive early, there will be autograph opportunities and of course, juicy hot dogs available for everyone!
CARD ORDER:
Opening Match: Su Yung & Rebel Kel vs Lacey & Rain
Terra Callaway (seed 96) vs Meiko Satomura (seed 33)
Hiroyo Matsumoto (seed 32) vs Ida Mae Martinez (seed 97)
Vampiro vs Darby Allin
Joanie Laurer (seed 1) vs Francine (seed 128)
Bryan Danielson vs Greg Valentine
MAIN EVENT: Kairi Sane (seed 65) vs Hikaru Shida (seed 64)
(Yup. I'm back. Thanks to Carl's app, I can make much more efficient use of my collection, and what better way to do it than putting together a possibly way too ambitious tournament? I used the power rankings the app assigns cards to seed the ladies into their brackets.
As for my fed, it's going to be revived at some point, I'm hoping to get three and four corner matches and support for battle royales in the app in the future just to keep the diversity up. I haven't really experimented with adding charts much yet, so that's going to be a priority once this is done. And I have other wild ideas for one-off cards and series that aren't part of the fed, hopefully I can keep myself focused long enough to make them happen. Thanks for stopping by and reading my work!)

An excited crowd gathers for a card of wrestling action featuring a wide range of talents...
Exhibition Match: "The Undead Bride" Su Yung & "The Six Foot Stunner" Rebel Kel vs. Lacey & Rain, The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew
Once the Undead Bride tagged in, she was undeinable, delivering so much punishment to Rain, though the latter just kept kicking out. Su Yung scored the pin after a knee strike at 6:15. *** out of *****
Bracket 1 Round 1: Terra Callaway (seed 96) vs "The Final Boss" Meiko Satomura (seed 33)
Despite the styles clash, Terra was absolutely game for what Meiko brought to the table, trading kicks and slams and counters. Terra managed to get a quick three count by holding the Final Boss' tights after a power slam, much to the crowd's annoyance. *1/4 out of *****
Bracket 1 Round 1: "Lady Destroyer" Hiroyo Matsumoto (seed 32) vs Ida Mae Martinez (seed 97)
Ida had no time to yodel, the Lady Destroyer was on top of her from the word "go." Still, Ida kicked out of the first Tokido Otoshi, but she wasn't so lucky after the second. * out of *****
Exhibition Match: Vampiro vs Darby Allin
A frustrated Darby Allin rolled out of the ring after kicking out of an early Nail in the Coffin, and discovered the referees hired here are less lenient than he's used to when he attacked Vampiro with his skateboard outside the ring, getting himself disqualified. DUD match.
Bracket 1 Round 1: The 9th Wonder of the World, Joanie Laurer (seed 1) vs The Queen of Extreme, Francine (seed 128)
Francine gets the jump on Joanie, and despite the definite power difference she takes everything her opponent has. Laurer finally lands the Pedigree and the pin at the 8 minute mark, and the fans give them both a solid ovation for their grit and performance. ** out of *****
Exhibition Match: "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs Greg "The Hammer" Valentine
Tied for match of the night with the eventual main event in terms of workrate and drama, Danielson struck fast and Valentine struck hard. Submissions were traded and escaped, Bryan was busted open and somehow managed to escape the Figure Four leglock twice! Valentine finally managed to wear him out after a shoulder breaker, scoring the pin, but shook his opponent's hand as a show of respect... for now. **** out of *****
MAIN EVENT Bracket 1 Round 1: Kairi Sane (seed 65) vs Hikaru Shida (seed 66) These two were as evenly matched as their seedings would indicate, and both escaped pinfalls after each other's finishers. Kairi managed to hit a second Insane Elbow, though, and scored the pin in the closest match of the night by a hair. **** out of *****
(NOTE: I use the Grant Baciocco scale, where a half star is added to a match after a fatigue token is distributed, but I scale up by 1/2 and 1/4 stars for drama and overall match length, and I scale down for non-clean finishes. Next card will be announced on Monday!)

Hello again, ladies and gentlemen, Larry Legend is here with the announcement of the second card in our Women’s Tournament series. We are continuing in the first bracket with another set of matches in Portland, Oregon! Four women have advanced and are preparing for their next match ups, and now eight more are looking to do the same!
First and foremost, Kylie Rae and "Miss Reality" Madi Wrenkowski will be opening the card in a tournament match. Relative newcomer Mandy Leon has to come up with a game plan to overcome the sheer power of the powerhouse Josephine Blatt. It’ll be a contrast of styles as lucha libre sensation La Amapola does battle with Dark Sheik, and our main event of the evening will see two highly regarded and decorated former champions, Madison Rayne versus Jacqueline!
But there’s much more on the card, of course, including a tag team extravaganza between two of Portland’s native sons, Rip Oliver and Ken Patera, taking on to of Pacific Northwest Wrestling’s all-time greats, Billy Jack Haynes and Dutch Savage! Princess Victoria, another Portland native who you will also be seeing later in the tournament, will be entering a mixed tag team match with partner Leaping Lanny Poffo against the Father/Daughter duo of Butcher and Luna Vachon! But of course, nothing is bigger than Piper in Portland, and the Rowdy one himself will be in the semi-main event taking on one of his greatest rivals in the area, Playboy Buddy Rose!
You do not want to miss this as our tournament rolls into the Moda Center! There will be tickets on-line and at the box office, and on sale right now are special VIP autograph sessions with Roddy Piper! Belltime is 7 PM, whether you’re there live or on IWTV, we can’t wait for you to join us!
CARD ORDER:
Opening Match: Kylie Rae (seed 48) vs Madi Wrenkowski (seed 81)
Luna & Butcher Vachon vs Princess Victoria & Lanny Poffo
La Amapola (seed 17) vs Dark Sheik (seed 112)
Rip Oliver & Ken Patera vs Billy Jack Haynes & Dutch Savage
Mandy Leon (seed 113) vs Josephine Blatt (seed 16)
Roddy Piper vs Buddy Rose
MAIN EVENT: Jacqueline (seed 80) vs Madison Rayne (seed 49)
(Reminder to self to use the Hometown Advantage rules for Buddy Rose or else Piper will likely walk all over him!)

A hot crowd in a legendary wrestling city awaits tonight's action! And here we go!
Bracket 1 Round 1: Kylie Rae (seed 48) vs Madi Wrenkowski (seed 81)
Much of the match sees Madi in control, trying to put Kylie down to no avail but absolutely wearing her down with repeated Jazz Stingers and the Reality Check. It takes all of her comparative veteran instincts to mount a comeback win with a superkick after a good 10 minutes. ****1/2 out of *****, an AMAZING story told in the ring by these two!
Exhibition Match: Luna & Butcher Vachon vs Princess Victoria & Lanny Poffo
Lanny has a poem for us! "It's Butcher, not baker, nor candlestick maker, Who graces us on this night. But grace is a very relative term, When his visage is such a fright!
Alas, with dear Luna, it seems these appearances Must run within the family So stand firm, dear Princess, we must be steadfast Against this duo's lack of sanity!"
You can imagine how THAT went over with the Vachons. Butcher is so enraged he actually lets Poffo get the better of him for a bit, but once Luna tags in and Princess Victoria has to enter, it's almost all Luna all the time. Victoria survives a couple falls but succumbs to a top rope splash after 5 minutes. *1/2 out of *****.
Bracket 1 Round 1: La Amapola (seed 17) vs Dark Sheik (seed 112)
Dark Sheik tries to get the best of La Amapola, but the Lucha Libre starlet doesn't just capitalize on her opponent's first mistake, she doesn't look back scoring a pin with a double knee backbreaker that devastates her foe for the three count after it felt like the bell had barely rung! * out of *****
Exhibition Match: Rip Oliver & Ken Patera vs Billy Jack Haynes & Dutch Savage
Dutch Savage hits Rip Oliver right out the gate with a running piledriver, and Billy Jack stops Ken from saving his KO'd partner! Patera is FURIOUS he didn't even get into the match and gets on the mic after the match ends demanding a one on one submission match with Haynes!! SQUASH match, no rating.
Bracket 1 Round 1: Mandy Leon (seed 113) vs Josephine Blatt (seed 16)
Mandy tried every trick she knew, risking disqualification against this woman who outweighs her by almost 100 pounds, but Blatt would not be denied, locking in her patented Body Vice time and again as Mandy kept escaping until finally she lost consciousness and needed to be helped to the back after the match. *** out of *****
Exhibition Match: Roddy Piper vs Buddy Rose
Did it compare to their past battles in Portland? It at least held up to them as the back and forth action between Rose and Piper was as relentless and, frankly, dirty as you could have expected. They held little back and Rose even escaped Piper's sleeper, but a flying tackle from the top rope put the Playboy to bed. **** out of *****
MAIN EVENT Bracket 1 Round 1: Jacqueline (seed 80) vs Madison Rayne (seed 49)
Jacqueline was heartbroken and furious, and so were the fans, when she realized she accidentally put herself into position for the Rayne Check, and Madison grabbed her foe's tights to score the pin! Jacqueline got her opponent after the bell rang and furiously battered her after the match, launching her out of the ring and getting on the mic. "This ain't over! You have NOT heard the last of this, and I will get my pound of flesh off you one way or another!!" This much, at least, sends the crowd home a little happier than such an ending would have normally. * out of *****

Hello, Sacramento, here we come! The third night of the massive 128 women tournament is coming to California and we’ve got no shortage of red hot matches as we continue the opening round at the Golden 1 Center!
The Jumping Bomb angels will be in singles action in separate matches, with Noriyo Tateno doing battle against Rockin Robin, and Itsuki Yamazaki battling Bianca Belair. But the major matches don’t stop there, with June Byers battling Lacey of the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew, and Candi Divine facing off with Laynie Luck!
Of course, we have a star from the region on the card this week as well, as Sefa Fatu will be joining up with his brother Jacob, the Samoan Werewolf, to take on Midnight Heat, Eddie Pearl and Ricky Gibson straight out of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood! Our semi-main event, though, should have numerous fans buzzing, as it is a return match from the 1993 Royal Rumble which originated in Sacramento, featuring Bret “Hitman” Hart battling Scott Hall!
