Welcome to Gold Rush Wrestling! Here in the heart of Hollywood, we will bring you the best wrestlers in the world today!! Tonight, our offering is simple... A 26 man over the top Battle Royal to crown the inaugural Gold Rush TV Champion! And a 5 team Gauntlet match for the West Coast Heavyweight Tag Team Championship! Sit back, grab a Kale smoothie or Veggie wrap from our concessions and enjoy the RUSH!!!"


The 26 man Over the Top Battle Royal is a wild and woolly affair!  As the 26 men are announced and make their way to ringside, the fans are already choosing their sides.  Eliminations were as follows:

1 and 2:Maurice Tillett and Jim Londos (by each other)
3: Bobby Shane (by Blassie)
4. Gorgeous George (by himself on a missed clothesline attempt)
5. Crusher (by Blassie)
6. Ray Stevens (by The Sheik)

"Your winner and NEW Gold Rush TV Champion:  THE VAMPIRE! FRED BLASSIE!!!"

Blassie has no time to celebrate or for an interview and Abdul Farouk shows up at ringside, screaming at Blassie.  Blassie grabs for Farouk and doesn't see the Sheik who blindsides him with a fireball!  The crowd is frenzied as security removes Sheik and Farouk from the building and Blassie is attended by the ringside EMT's.

The 5 Team Gauntlet Match  for the West Coast Heavyweight Tag Team Championship did not disappoint or fail to live up to the action of the Battle Royal before it.  

The Mongols def Lyons and Bastien after some timely distraction by Lou Albano.

Albano's distractions and interference could not overcome the Expertise of the Tolos Brothers.  John pinned Geto after a flying knee.

The Midnight Express and The Tolos Brothers went over 20 minutes of exceptional Tag Team wrestling with tons of double teaming, hot tags and pin saves.  In the end, Jim Cornette's infamous tennis racket made the difference as the referee saw him toss it to Stan Lane and got his Midnights the dq.

The Kangaroos def an extremely tired and worn out Tolos brothers with the Boomerang to become...  "Your Winners and NEW West Coast Heavyweight Tag Team Champions...  THE KANGAROOOOOOOOS!!!"

Show opens amid pyrotechnics and screaming guitar riffs. Promoter 'Stately' Ty States is center ring and wearing a large bandage over his forehead. "Ladies and gents, welcome back! Welcome back to... GOLD RUSH WRESTLING!!! I need to clear some things up tonight. First and foremost, I apologize for my behavior and my part in last weeks Main Event debacle. My lawyers have informed me that that I need to step back and let the wrestlers do their jobs, while I do mine... So, My job tonight is to insure that YOU fine people get the best darned wrestling action ANYwhere, right here in the heart of Hollywood!!! And having said that, we have some issues that need resolved tonight!! Sheik, you scumbag! You will face my personal friend, The Mormon Giant, in this ring tonight, in a no-DQ, everyone is banned from ringside match-up!! IF you survive that, you will face Fred Blassie right here next week!! Now, Mr. Londos and Mr. Tillet are seeming to have themselves a bit of a hoosegow going on and tonight the two will meet in a no time limit, one fall to a finish match as well!! And Farouk, let me assure you on a personal level, this is FAR from settled!"

1. Mr. Saito def Rikidozan with a Saito Suplex after Abdul Farouk hooked Rikidozan's leg from the outside, distracting the big man long enough for Saito to get the quick pin. Farouk strolled down to ringside midway through the match, taking notes and observing closely. His intentions didn't become obvious until about 8 minutes in, when he casually reached in the ring and hooked the ankle. Saito and Farouk spoke in hushed tones after the match and Farouk handed the Japanese Assassin an envelope. Saito looked in it, smiled and shook Farouk's hand, returning to the dressing room with him.

2. #1 Contender's Match. The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) def the Tolos Brothers following a Veg-O-Matic on John. This was a surprisingly clean (not including ample double teaming) match and the 4 notorious rule breakers shook hands both before and after the match.

3. Bobo Brazil def Gorgeous George via DQ when Cheri Dupre sprayed the big man in the eyes with her perfume atomizer, which George then proceeded to break over the infamously hard head of Brazil. Though blinded and yelling in pain, it seemed that Bobo was largely unaware he had been struck in the head. George stared at his broken atomizer in horror, then quickly escaped to the back before the infuriated Brazil could regain his sight.

4. 'The French Angel' Maurice Tillet def Jim Londos after Abdul Farouk made another trip to ringside and. while Tillet kept the referee at bay, blasted Londos with a Fireball! The angry crowd was getting restless and looked to be on the verge of rioting when the Hollywood P.D. (that seem to be stationed either next door or in the dressing room) came down and removed the rascally duo from ringside.

5. After a semblance of order had been restored to the crowd, Don Leo Jonathan and the Sheik were introduced as footage of all the wrestlers being escorted out of the building by security was shown on the big screen. This match quickly devolved into a pier 6 brawl and then some. Chairs, ringside cameras and tables were amongst the items these 2 battered each other with. While little to no actual wrestling could be readily identified, it was the Mormon Swing that managed to put the Sheik down long enough to get a 1-2-3. The 3 count and bell apparently were irrelevant to these 2 gladiators however as they continued to brawl up the ramp and into the back, disappearing behind the curtain where apparently the cameras that caught all the wrestlers leaving the building could no longer be found to follow and chronicle this fight.

Show opens amid pyrotechnics and screaming guitar riffs. Promoter 'Stately' Ty States is center ring. "Ladies and Gents! Welcome back to Gold Rush Wrestling! We have got ourselves a FULL show tonight!!! In our main event, that despicable foreign menace under the watchful evil eye of Abdul Farouk will take on The Gold Rush TV champ, Fred Blassie, my good friend DLJ and a surprise partner they are bringing in for this match!! All I can say is, Farouk? Good luck!! Also tonight, we will try and get it out of the system of the Midnights and the Kangaroos as both teams will be joined by their respective managers for a No Disqualification 6 man tag. If the Kangaroos win, they get a rematch for the belts, INSIDE A STEEL CAGE!!! And if Cornette's boys, the Midnights can bring it home, the Kangaroos will lose ALL title consideration for the duration of the Midnight's title reign. My personal favorites are in town tonight as the ladies are making a pit stop on their tour and you will be treated to the Glamour Girls taking on the exciting duo of the Jumping Bomb Angles!!! Bobo Brazil has demanded and received a rematch with BOTH Johnny Valentine and Gorgeous George and has brought in an old familiar face by the name of Mils Mascaras to help him out!! We have a couple opening bouts to whet your appetites, so without further ado, sit back, grab a Kale smoothie or Veggie wrap from our concessions and enjoy the RUSH!!!"


1.  'Cowboy' Dick Hutton def Bobby Shane via DQ (again) when Shane loses his temper (again) and shoves the referee outside the ring.  After the match, a frustrated Hutton stops by the ringside table:  "Bobby Shane!!!  You cowardly varmint!!  Enough is enough, be a real man and try pushing me around instead of these 120 pound refs!!  Mr States, I want him and I want him where he can't push and run with things get hot!!  I got me an extra bale of chicken wire, and i think that is fitting enough for a coward!   Let me have him in the chickenwire so he can't run, and I will tar and feather that yella dawg after I beat his butt, Oklahoma Style!!"

2.  Larry Hennig and the Crusher battled to a 10 minute TLD with 'Iron' Mike DiBiase and 'Cowboy' Bob Orton, Sr.  These 4 men looked to be in here for one reason only; a slobber knockin' donnybrook!!  And They got exactly what they were looking for.  All 4 men gave as good as they got and at the end of the 10 minutes, the fans were screaming for more.  All 4 men looked pretty content with themselves and like they would have gladly gone another 10, but instead made their ways back to the dressing rooms.

3.  The Jumping Bomb Angels (Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki) def the Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai and Judy Martin) by DQ when the referee saw Jimmy Hart crawl out from under the ring and toss a megaphone to Kai who bashed Yamazaki.  Tateno managed to clear the ring with a set of dropkicks and tend to her fallen partner.

4.  Bobo Brazil and Mils Mascaras def Gorgeous George and Johnny Valentine after a miscue between the blonde villains.  Late in the 20 minute TL match, Johnny had Bobo on the ropes close to his own corner, George grabbed and tried to hold Bobo (not sure WHO thought that would end well), but instead took a flying knee from Valentine.  Johnny tended to his partner while Cheri fanned and lamented over her fallen man.  Bobo took advantage of the miscue to land a Coco Butt and then tag in Mascaras for a Flying Bodypress and the win.  The 2 villains seemed to be starting to have words when Dupre stepped between to calm the situation.  Johnny issued a rematch challenge for "soon" and the two fan favorites gladly accepted.  George did not look quite as thrilled with his partner's decision.

5.  No Disqualification 6-Man tag match:  The Kangaroos and Red Berry defeated the Midnight Express and Jim Cornette when Berry pinned Cornette after breaking his cane over poor Jimmy's skull.  An action packed match that saw all 6 men bleeding by the end, The Midnights gave a great accounting of themselves despite the handicap of having Cornette as a partner.  Near falls aplenty (16 total tokens) had the fans on their feet and almost as exhausted as the combatants by the end.  After 20 plus minutes of bone jarring hits and saves, the 2 tag teams were locked in a vicious brawl outside the ring.  Berry (who had been laid out outside a bit earlier by Eaton) grabbed his cane and while Cornette was in the ring trying to yell for one of his guys attention to throw them his racket, came up behind and spun Jim around to get a cane shot to the head for the win.  The cage match it was announced would be coming up on the big extravaganza next month.

6.  The Sheik, Masa Saito and Maurice Tillet (w/ Abdul Farouk) def Bobo Brazil, Fred Blassie and ANDRE THE GIANT after a Sheik fireball put DLJ down for the count.  Andre's arrival threw the dastardly trio into a bit of a tailspin as no one wanted to start the match against their Giant adversary.  Tillet seemed to draw the short straw and got the privilege of being the first thrown around like a rag doll.  A tag to the Sheik brought little different results, nor did a tag to Saito a short time later.  The villainous trifecta got some solid moments of offense in whenever Blassie or Jonathan were in the ring, but each time the Giant returned to action, they fell apart.  The Red Menace (Ivan Koloff and Boris Zhukoff) came down and attacked Andre outside the ring, and while he battled the 2 Russians, Saito and Tillet kept Blassie at bay, Farouk jumped on the apron and kept Jonathan distracted long enough for the Sheik to work his magic and conjure the flames.  After the match while Andre and Blassie attended their fallen partner, Andre bellowed out a challenge for a handicap match with the Russians!

I am not 100% certain, but I would be wiling to bet they are. I have had and used them for years and they are not ones I made... would you like me to send you copies and you can tell me? LOL
