FCW Legendary League Roster

Off to a slower start than I had hoped, lol, but i have my first card booked and will be posting up here in the next day or so...

FCW: LEGENDARY LEAGUE
CARD #1
ALL THINGS OLD ARE NEW AGAIN

1. JAKE MILLIMAN V DOUG GILBERT: In a surprisingly (disturbingly?) competitive match, Doug Gilbert was able to narrowly squeak out a win after taking quite a beating (4 tokens) with a quick roll-up after the Milkman missed his delivery to the turnbuckle. 4:37 **1/2

2. ASUKA V AJ LEE: This one stole the show. These 2 ladies came to show they aren't Divas, but wrestlers. And NO ONE in the audience left with any doubt. A combined 11 tokens (6 Asuka, 5 Lee) and a showcase of move and counter move led to an outstanding 20 min TLD between these 2 warriors. A standing ovation from the crowd as the 2 shook hands after capped off an amazing display of athleticism and heart! 20:00 *****

3. THE SAWYERS V THE OATES BROTHERS: An anticlimactic let down after the previous match, the Sawyers hit the ring a-running (and Jerry with a chain) for a relatively easy and lopsided win. 1:44 1/2*

4. THE ZAMBOUIE EXPRESS AND ERNIE LADD V THE LONG RIDERS AND DICK RAINES: "Holy Shit!! Holy Shit!!" Whilst the "technical side" of wrestling was never even remotely introduced here, the "kick your stinking teeth in side" of wrestling was well represented. These 6 giants (how often is Wild Bill the little guy?) threw enough heavy leather on each other to wear out Mike Tyson. Double- and Triple- teaming, wild 6-man brawls, ringside donnybrooks and weapons of EVERY shape and size led the way to this brutal double DQ. Apparently 11 trips out of the ring for a 4-6 man brawl is the referees saturation point... who knew? 13:44 ***1/2

5. BEARCAT WRIGHT V ERIC EMBRY: Bearcat Wright make quick work of his smaller opponent, quickly locking in the Bearcat Claw for the win. 2:37 *

6. MAE YOUNG V CORA LIVINGSTON: In what has to be considered a minor upset, the Queen may have abdicated her throne to the tough as nails Livingston. Cora weathered an early storm and capitalized on a collision between Mae and the referee to wear her majesty down with back to back Half-Nelson and Crotch Holds for the close 3. Young argued with the ref afterwards that she kicked out, to no avail. **** 9:28

7. ALEXANDER RUSEV V WHIPPER WATSON: In what has to be considered a major upset, Rusev struck fast and got a surprising quick win after Lana distracted Watson. Rusev hit a quick Bulplex followed by a patented jumping side kick for the quick 3. Rusev and Lana quickly scurried from ringside as Watson regained his feet and started questioning the referee on the legality of Lana's interference in the match, also to no avail. DUD 0:58

Thanx, it was a fun one to play, though the Rusev - Watson match had me cursing the dice, lol! Hoping to see someone pick up and play a card or so. I will eventually get back and do a card, but am really hoping people catch the bug and toss in on this one... Or the Indy (color) one, lol

CARD #2
(RE)LIVING THE DREAM

1. ERIC EMBRY V JAKE MILLIMAN: In another close match, the Milkman couldn't quite pull it off, but Eric Embry needed everything in his arsenal (including 2 trips to the floor) to put Jake down for the count following a (2nd!!) Piledriver.

2. THE SAWYERS AND DOUG GILBERT V THE OATES BROTHERS AND BEARCAT WRIGHT: In what most are calling at least a mild upset, The Oates Brothers called on a big friend and it paid off. The early match was a great back and forth affair, til eventually Doug found himself in the ring and isolated from the Sawyers. Finally, Mr Wright decided to test the structural integrity of Doug's skull with his own and after a series of headbutts (rolled it 7... SEVEN!!! times in a row!!!), locked in the Bearcat Claw for the win. The Sawyers were held at bay by the Oates from making the save. There seemed to be a bit of friction between Gilbert and Brett after the match, with Buzz in the completely foreign role of trying to keep the peace.

3. (REMATCH) THE ZAMBOUIE EXPRESS AND ERNIE LADD V THE LONG RIDERS AND DICK RAINES: And in the "Nothing is even remotely solved here" department, another brutal double DQ which led to the first ever "FCWLL Concession Stand Brawl" (Thanks to Trav and his amazing Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl chart!). These 6 men simply do not seem to like each other, at all, even remotely, and continue to fight that way each time. The match lasted about 3 1/2 minutes before being called. The brawl lasted almost 20... Might be time for a special stip or 2 to get this settled...

4. ASUKA AND MAE YOUNG V CORA LIVINGSTON AND AJ LEE: Billed as "The Royal Court", the Queen and the Princess seemed to gel flawlessly, while Cora and AJ didn't quite mesh as well. While not a bad match, the Royal Court simply outclassed and out wrestled their opponents, with Asuka getting the win over Cora following a 3rd Asuka Lock.

5. (REMATCH) WHIPPER WATSON V ALEXANDER RUSEV: Watson learned from his mistake last time and Lana became a non-issue. A surprisingly closer match than many fans expected as Rusev's sheer power was able to keep Watson from dominating, but in the end, the CCU hold (after a 3rd attempt to lock it in) was more than the big Russian could withstand and Watson got a hard won victory after about 15 minutes of solid action. Lana went to attack Watson after the match and Rusev (surprisingly) held her back and returned to the dressing room.

still like to see some names added... or someone roll out a card or 2... in the meantime, here is my preview for card #3...
