NWWA CARD #1
PORTLAND SPORTS ARENA
1. Steve 'Crusher' Casey v Mike Sharpe: The sensation from Ireland made short work of Canada's Strongest Athlete with the Kilarmy Flip.
2. The Andersons v The Osirian Portal: The brothers seemed mildly annoyed with the antics of the "Egyptian" imports and wasted little time in making Ophidian tap to a standing arm bar.
3. The Samoans and Jimmy Snuka v The All Night Express and Rob Van Dam: This match quickly degenerated to an uncontrollable pier-six brawl, both in and out of the ring. The referee called for the double DQ as security scrambled to separate these 6 men.
4. The New Age Outlaws v BADD Company: A fantastic display of tag team excellence between both teams. The NAO proved just a bit more underhanded and Billy Gunn took advantage of a Road Dogg low blow on Tanaka to set up the Famouser.
5. Gus Sonnenberg v Lars Anderson: It might have taken 3, but the flying tackle spelled the end of the night for the 3rd Anderson.
6. MAIN EVENT: Lonnie Mayne v Kevin Von Erich: A great back and forth match between these 2 athletes unfortunately goes the distance and after 20 minutes the referee announces a draw.

NWWA CARD #2
PORTLAND SPORTS ARENA
1. Steve 'Crusher' Casey v Lars Anderson: Ireland's favorite son continues to impress with a hard fought victory over Lars Anderson. Back and forth action went to the floor briefly, but Casey kept it together and returned it to the ring where the Kilarmy Flip spelled the end of Lars' night.
2. Justin Credible v Timber: "The NEW Face of Hardcore" won a hard-fought victory over the Insane Lumberjack. Several trips to the floor had the referee close to dq'ing both men on several occasions, but in the end, That's Incredible brought Justin the win.
3. The Samoans and Jimmy Snuka v The All-Night Express and Rob Van Dam: Another brutal double dq between these 2 teams had security and wrestlers from the back trying to separate and control this maelstrom of violence. These 6 men left it all on the floor and it was announced a no dq rematch for the following week's show.
4. Ken Patera v Brutus Beefcake: The Olympic Strongman debuted in strong fashion, sending the Barber back to an early refresher class at the beauty shoppe. A swinging full nelson on the heels of a series of clotheslines and slams were enough to get Mr Patera the "W"
5. The Andersons v BADD Company: Ole and Gene seemed, if possible, even more pissed off than last week, again making short work of their opponents with a standing armbar on Paul Diamond.
6. Gus Sonnenberg v Curt Hennig: What began as a clinic in technical wrestling took an ugly turn when Hennig took it outside the ring, garnering a dq for his use of the steel steps..

NWWA CARD #3
PORTLAND SPORTS ARENA
1. Steve 'Crusher' Casey v. Brutus 'the Barber' Beefcake: Kilarmy's Favorite Son made short work of the Barber, rocking him with a series of hard hitting slams and suplexes, polishing him off with the patented Kilarmy Flip.
2. Curt Hennig v. Justin Credible: Credible mounted some impressive offense, but Curt's new found mean streak again came into play as a wicked chair shot (somehow missed completely by the referee) laid out Credible and allowed a Fisherman's Suplex for the win. After the match, Hennig could be heard saying "now THAT was perfect!"
3. BADD Company v. Osirian Portal: BADD Company pulls out of their slump this week with a huge win over the Portal. An assist from Curt Hennig proved huge when an apparently inadvertent leg trip on Ophidian led to Tanaka and Diamond hitting a quick slingshot/DDT combo for the win. Hennig and BADD Company left the ringside area together afterwards.
4. The Andersons (Ole, Gene and Lars) v. The New Age Outlaws and Ken Patera. Proving 3 heads are better (or at least more deadly) than 1. The Andersons isolated Road Dogg early and never let up, garnering a submission with a standing armbar. After the match, it appeared as if the D. O. double-G. was favoring his arm and needed his partners' help to get to the back.
5. Kevin Von Erich v. Gus Sonnenberg. A great athletic endeavor that began with a handshake and ended in a bit of controversy. A fantastic back and forth matchup saw these 2 men trade holds and advantage several times. The End came when Sonnenberg missed a second flying tackle and ended up outside the ring, unable to return before the 20 count. Von Erich seemed displeased with receiving this kind of victory, but reluctantly had his hand raised.
6. MAIN EVENT (No-DQ): The Samoans and Jimmy Snuka v The All Night Express and Rob Van Dam. An all out epic war between these 6 men! The fans got everything they wanted and more and broken tables and broken bodies littered the ringside area. The somewhat surprising end came when 'Moondog' Lonnie Mayne (who was doing color commentary for the TV delay-release) got up from the ringside table and took out Kenny King with a wicked chair to the back of the head followed by a piledriver on the concrete. Jimmy Snuka rolled King back into the ring for the easy win. An uneasy staredown between Snuka and Mayne ended with a sudden set of smiles and laughter as the Samoans and Snuka embraced Mayne and followed him to the back...

NWWA CARD #4
PORTLAND SPORTS ARENA
1. Steve 'Crusher' Casey v D'Lo Brown: The Sensation from Ireland made short work of Mr. Brown, spoiling his debut with the Kilarmy Flip. In a brief post-match interview, he expressed his mild frustration at continually getting the opening match.
2. The Samoans(w/ Lonnie Mayne) v The Osirian Portal: The Samoans quickly disposed of their Egyptian rivals putting Ophidian down with a sick double headbutt. After the match, Lonnie Mayne expressed that his Army would be taking all the gold home at the upcoming extravaganza on Card #10.
3. The Andersons (Ole, Gene and Lars) v Curt Hennig and BADD Company: A wild out of the ring brawl ended this one in a double count out. The 6 combatants didn't seem to hear or care about the ringing bell and continued fighting until security and other wrestlers broke them up and returned them to their respective dressing rooms.
4. Gus Sonnenberg v Timber: Sonnenberg took the hardcore brawler to school in the middle of the ring, winning on a missed turnbuckle charge into a school-boy roll up.
5. Kevin Von Erich v 'Iron' Mike Sharpe: Denton's Favorite Son defeated Canada's Strongest Athlete with an Iron Claw.
6. MAIN EVENT: Rob Van Dam v Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka (w/ Lonnie Mayne): The bad blood between these 2 high flyers seems to show no sign of abating as they tore into each other for the full 20 minutes to get a rather unsatisfying TLD.

NWWA CARD #5
PORTLAND SPORTS ARENA
1. Bob Orton, Jr def 'Iron' Mike Sharpe with a superplex in his debut. Canada's Strongest Athlete just didn't have the answer for the Ace, quickly falling prey to a strong series of chain wrestling and finding him self deposited first onto the top turnbuckle and quickly deposited back off it.
2. Ken Patera def D'Lo Brown following a quick pin after a wicked clothesline. D'Lo's head snapped back in ugly fashion as the Olympic Strongman came out swinging for the fences and took D'Lo for a trip downtown to the "L" column.
3. Steve 'Crusher' Casey def Gus Sonnenberg with a reverse dropkick followed up by a breathtaking Kerry Crush. The former football standout and the former rowing champion put on a 10+ minute clinic before the Irishman caught and held the advantage. The 2 men shook hands before and after the match to the ovation of an appreciative crowd.
In a brief post match interview, Casey thanked "the booking committee here for moving him out of the opening matches." Ken Patera came down and got in Casey's face about not being a real athlete as a rower, stating he couldn't even make the olympics in rowing let alone a real sport. Casey simply smiled and slapped the taste right out of Patera's mouth! Security quickly separated to 2 men before any real issues developed.
4. The Anderson's def RVD and the All-Night Express when Ole got the Armbar submission on Kenny King. A surprisingly clean and competitive match ended once the Anderson Brothers were able to isolate Kenny late in the match. Quick tags wore him down and allowed for the diving knee into the Armbar as the other 4 men brawled. After the match, the Samoans and Snuka (w/ Lonnie Mayne) came running down and attacked the losers before a chair swinging Bob Orton came down to make the save.
5. BADD Company def the Osirian Portal when Tanaka got the pin on Ophidian with the German Suplex.
6. MAIN EVENT: Lonnie Mayne (w/Jimmy Snuka) and Kevin Von Erich was declared No Contest when the match never actually started before these 2 started brawling in the ringside area, the ramp way, the ringside seats, the interview stage... Kevin attempted to question Mr. Mayne as to what he was doing teaming up with "the likes of them?" and got slapped for his trouble. Apparently slapping a Texan does not tend to work out well. Security and most the dressing room was required to restore order.

NWWA CARD #6
PORTLAND SPORTS ARENA
1. Low Ki def Timber the Insane Lumberjack with the Warrior's Way. A solid debut for Low Ki, but Timber didn't go down without a fight, putting 3 tokens of his own on the New York warrior. Low Ki landed a Hanging Dragon and Timber could find no answer or comeback this time, finally falling to the Warrior's Way.
2. The New Age Outlaws and the Osirian Portal battled to a 10 minute TLD. The New Age Outlaws seemed to underestimate their opponents and almost took the loss. A series of quick tags by both teams kept the match moving along and most fans felt that the Portal could have gotten the upset with just a few more minutes.
3. Gus Sonnenberg def Lars Anderson via dq. The third Anderson brother was having some difficulty overcoming the offense of the former football standout. After a second Flying Tackle sent him out of the ring, a frustrated Lars grabbed a chair and returned to clobber Gus. The referee warned Lars several times to release the chair, but he swung anyways, missing Gus, but hitting the referee. Gus (and a well timed headbutt to the stomach) wrestled the chair from Lars, chasing him out of the ring. After the referee was revived, he awarded the match to Sonnenberg. Gus challenged Lars to a rematch the following week, but was jumped by all 3 Anderson brothers until Steve Casey and Kevin Von Erich made the save. A 6-man rematch was announced for next week.
4. The Andersons (Ole and Gene) def BADD Company with an Armbar submission on Tanaka. Tanaka and Diamond started strong, but soon, the Anderson tag team machine found it's groove and continued with quick tags to cut off Pat from his partner's outstretched arm. A second diving knee proved too much for Tanaka and he succumbed to the mounted armbar of Ole.
5. Steve Casey def Ken Patera with the Killarmy Flip. The Olympic Strongman from Oregon put a good match up against the Sneem Machine, but even his great power couldn't overcome the amazing Casey as Casey hit his Killarney Flip on the heels of a Kerry Crush for the win.
6. MAIN EVENT (No Disqualification): Lonnie Mayne def Kevin Von Erich with a Bombs Away. This bloody spectacle left both men scraping for a way to get the "W", but in the end, a pair of Brass Knucks (pulled from the Moondog's trunks) set up the favorite son of Denton for a trip to the "L" column. Both men came back from several nasty near falls (and Mayne was busted open so badly he will miss next weeks card) and poured out their full effort and probably a quart of blood, but in the end, the underhanded Mayne was simply better equipped for this type of match.
