In the Ring: NWA World Champion Terry Gordy is standing in the ring with a mic in his hand: “I know a lot of you people didn’t think I’d ever win this belt! Well let me tell you sumthin’ Jack, I plan keep it for a LOOONG time and there ain’t nobody in world that can beat me! Tonight I’m gonna kick Bobo Brazil’s ass. After that, bring anybody on that wants a shot!

Match #1 Vader defeated The Mountie in 7:48 with the POWER BOMB (+3)

- Match Rating: **1/2

- Christian and Redd Dogg are both astounded at the amount of punishment The Mountie took (5 tokens) before falling prey to Vader.

Backstage: Adrian Adonis and Jesse Ventura are seen in the back talking about which tactics will work best to injure Phil Lafon or Doug Furnas in their match.

Match #2 Phil Lafon and Doug Furnas defeated The East-West Connection in 7:58

- Lafon hit the TIGER DRIVER (+1) for the win

- Match Rating: **1/2

- Christian and Redd Dogg discuss which of these teams are likely to go farther in the Continental territory.

Backstage: Stokely Hathaway corners the Fabulous Ones in the locker room and starts telling them how much he can help them with getting better matches and title shots. The Fabs quickly agree to make Hathaway their manager

Match #3 Travis Banks defeated Jon Moxley in twenty seconds with the LIONS CLUTCH

- Match Rating: ½*

- Christian is absolutely shocked at how quickly the match ended. Redd Dogg can’t stop laughing at Moxley.

Match #4 Dennis Condrey defeated Gorilla Monsoon in 5:02 with the FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP

- Match Rating: ***

- Christian and Redd Dogg are amazed that Monsoon went down in his first match here.

Match #5 The Rock N Roll Express defeated The Fabulous Ones with Stokely Hathaway with the DOUBLE DROPKICK

- Match Rating: ***

- Christian and Redd Dogg are amazed at how fast paced and intense this match was.

Backstage: Bobo Brazil and Terry Gordy run into each other in the locker room and they have to be separated by security.

Match #6 Kenny King defeated Verne Gagne in 6:40 with the CORONATION

- Match Rating: ***1/2

- Christian and Redd Dogg are ASTOUNDED that Verne lost this match

Match #7 Roderick Strong defeated Ron Garvin in 2:36 with the END OF HEARTACHE

- Match Rating: ½*

- Christian can’t stop making puns about how Strong Roderick Strong looked. Redd Dogg threatens to punch him out if he doesn’t stop.

Match #8 Continental Tag Team Title Match: The Andersons defeated Ivan and Nikita Koloff in 1:00 to become Continental Tag Champs

- Ole pinned Ivan with the DIVING KNEE TO SHOULDER

- Match Rating- DUD

- Redd Dogg says that’s what happens when a team that doesn’t care who gets hurt gets in the ring.

Match #9 Continental Title Match: Butch Miller defeated Jigsaw in 2:06 with the RUNNING KNEE SMASH

- Match Rating ½*

- Butch Miller is the new Continental Champion

Match #10 World Title Match: Terry Gordy (Champion) vs Bobo Brazil

- Bobo Brazil won the first fall in 2:30 with a bear hug

- Bobo Brazil won the second fall in 10:36 with the COCO BUTT

- Gordy delivered a tremendous amount of punishment to Bobo Brazil, but he weathered the storm and won the World Title!!

- Match Rating: *****

And poor Verne, holy crap, THAT was an upset!

#2 Continental Championship Wrestling- Jasper Theater

Commissioner: Sam Muchnick- Announcers: Christian and Redd Dogg

Backstage: Stu Stone is going around the locker room announcing that he’s the next great manager in the NWA and he’s looking for people who want to be champions. He approaches everyone in the back. Vader threatens to make him the next great manager in hell if Stone doesn’t leave him alone. He finally approaches Jigsaw, who listens intently and then walks away without a word.

Match #1- Hawk defeated Ricky Morton in 1:02 with two consecutive FLYING CLOTHESLINES.

- Match Rating: *

- Christian remarks that this match was almost as competitive as the bug vs the windshield. Redd Dogg can’t help but agree.

Match #2 Stan Lane defeated Robert Gibson in 2:48 with the RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP

- Match Rating *1/2

- Redd Dogg says that Lane is simply a better fighter than Gibson and it showed here tonight.

Match #3 Dennis Condrey w/Jim Cornette defeated the Grappler in 00:48 after 2 FACE FIRST LEG SWEEPS

- The Grappler was shoving referee Morgan Dollar around before the match and the official seemed afraid to make the 3-count, so Condrey made it really easy for him

- Match Rating: *

- Redd Dogg and Chrstian comment on how short all of tonight’s matches have been so far.

Backstage: Continental Champion Butch Miller approaches commissioner Sam Muchnick to complain about the lack of respect he’s been getting from the promoters. He says he should be next in line for world title match. Muchnick tells him that with as brutal as he is to his opponents in the ring he’s lucky to even have a wrestler’s license. Muchnick says he’d be happy to have it revoked if Miller keeps complaining.

Match #4 Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson defeated PCO and The Mountie in 9:44

- Tully pinned The Mountie after a SLINGSHOT SUPLEX

- *1/2

- Redd Dogg and Christian how incredible Tully and Arn’s teamwork is. They also discuss the fact that The Mountie is on his second loss. One more and he must leave the NWA to learn at lower levels until officials decide he’s ready to come back. He seems very frustrated at this realization.

Backstage: Veda Scott approaches Ivan Koloff about managing him and Nikita Koloff. Ivan starts to say there’s no way a Russian athlete would ever let himself be guided by a woman. She whispers something in his ear. Koloff looks at her, smiles and they walk away together.

Match #5 Steve Keirn defeated Kenny King in :48 with a beatdown in the corner

- Match Rating: ½*

- Redd Dogg and Christian comment that it just shows how tough the competition here is that Kenny King could beat Verne Gagne last week and lose to Steve Keirn this week.

Match #6 Nikita Koloff w/Veda Scott defeated Roderick Strong in :58 with the RUSSIAN SICKLE.

- Match Rating ½*

- Christian says that Roderick Strong didn’t look very strong. We can hear what sounds like Redd Dogg slapping Christian upside the head “I told you last week to stop DOING that.

In the Ring: Sam Muchnick announces that Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson were so dominant tonight they’ve earned a title shot. So next week, Tully and Arn will face The Anderson’s for the Continental Tag Team Championship!!

- Christian and Redd Dogg wonder what family dinner will be like at the Anderson’s house this week.

Match #7 Ivan Koloff w/Veda Scott defeated Terry Gordy in 12:32 with the RUSSIAN SICKLE

- Match Rating- *1/2

- Christian and Redd Dogg comment on how Terry Gordy, in two weeks, has gone from world champion to losing to Ivan Koloff.

The Hot Seat w/Bill Apter: Apter is interviewing The Mountie. The Canadian is furious that two cheap losses have him on the verge of having to leave the NWA. He says it just proves that the whole Alliance is against him and PCO, but it doesn’t matter because he’s about to take things to a whole new level. He doesn’t plan on going anywhere!!

Match #8 Non-Title- The Anderson Brothers defeated The East/West Connection in 1:02 when Ole locked Ventura in the MOUNTED ARMBAR

- Match Rating- *

- Redd Dogg and Christian remark that it doesn’t look like anyone can even slow down the Andersons, except maybe another Anderson.

Backstage: The Andersons walk into the backstage interview area unannounced. Ole grabs a mic. “Sam Muchnick, you think you can disrupt the Anderson family dynasty by making us put these belts up against Arn! You’ve lost your mind. ALL the Andersons know this is business. Arn is taking care of his business and we’re taking care of ours. After the match is over, we’ll still be family, and we’ll still be the strongest family in this whole damn business!!

Match #9 Continental Title Match: Vader defeated Butch Miller in 2:34 with the POWER BOMB to win the Continental Heavyweight Championship

- Match Rating 1/2 *

- Redd Dogg and Christian spend the entire match laughing at how weak Miller’s offense looks against the massive Vader

Match #10 World Six Man Title Match- The Von Erich brothers defeated The Shield in 4:56 when David got the IRON CLAW on Tyler Black

- Match Rating: *1/2

- Todd Sinclair was named the referee for this match

- Redd Dogg and Christian comment on just how dominant the Von Erich Brothers looked in this match.
